Catalogue description

"How do you do?" Princess Snow White awakens from her slumber and introduces herself to the Dwarfs in this animation color model drawing from the greatest animated film of all time, Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was a visual masterpiece of radiant color, carefully planned for each scene, effected through the art and science of Ink and Paint, delicately applied to each cel and background, and distributed through the magic of Technicolor. This original animation color model drawing was prepared for a sequence featuring the titular character that appears around the 33:49-36:07 marks of the Technicolor motion picture. The illustration is accomplished in colored, and graphite pencils and has an image size of 3.5" x 5.5" on 5-peghole, 12-field animation paper measuring 12" x 10". The late-1930s animation production drawing is in Very Good condition, exhibiting age related toning and wear, and outstandingly features the official stamp of the historic Walt Disney Hyperion Studios Color Model Department. This rare artifact preserves a most memorable moment from a classic Walt Disney Production and is a magnificent and testament to the heightened production quality of Walt Disney's most historic and "fairest" feature length film of them all -- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
